ChIANG MING-SHYAN (Jiang , Mingxian)

  • 1942    Born in Taichung County,Taiwan
  • 1968    Graduated in the fine arts department of the National Taiwan Normal University
  • 1974     La Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, Madrid, Spain (M.A)
  • 1988    National art award (Chinese painting )
  • 1972-2012  Personal exhibitions in Taiwan, Japan, America,Paris, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing , Guangzhou and Macau for more than 60 times, and invited to joint important group exhibitions in Taiwan and abroad for hundred times 
  • 1997-2012  Professor of department and graduate institute of fine arts in National Taiwan Normal University
  • 2002-2005  Director of department and graduate institute of fine arts in National       Taiwan Normal University 
  • 2005    The Culture Ministry of China plans“Taiwan Master Series”,invited to hold personal exhibition in Beijing National China Art Museum, Shanghai Art Museum and Guangdong Art Museum
  • 2005   “Chiang, Ming-Shyan Artwork Academic Symposium” is held in Beijing “National Art Museum of China” including much thesis written by critics and scholars from Taiwan, Japan, China, America and French
  • 2010-    Deputy director of the Taiwan Academy of Fine Arts
  • 2011-    Invited to serve as a committee member and researcher on the China National Academy of Painting
  • 2011   Adviser of the Chinese Painting Institute 
  • 2011 Invited by the Counsellor’s Office of the State Council, People’s Republic of China, to work with Song Yugui as one of the two main painters on the new “Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains” project.
